Ari Lennox
Courtney Shanade Salter, better known by her stage name of Ari Lennox, is an American music producer and vocalist from Washington, D.C., who was the first female to be signed to J. Cole's Dreamville Records record label. The debut EP Pho, released which was released on 21 October 2016 was released via Dreamville Records. The singer began to earn notoriety. Shea Butter Baby, her debut album, was released on in May 7th, 2019. Ari Lennox posted her debut music online in 2012. She dropped the single Five Finger Discount in 2013 and Ariography EP in 2013. She continued to upload her music online in 2014 and released her own single Bound. On the 21st of July in 2015, she appeared on Omen's album Elephant Eyes featuring the track Sweat It Out. J. Cole, who was a part of the Dreamville crew back then would like to see her work on Rihanna reference. On December 8 it was revealed that she was contracted to Dreamville Records. She appeared on the album collaboratively titled Revenge of the Dreamers II which featured the track Backseat alongside Cozz. In October 2016 the singer-songwriter released her debut EP Pho. Ari Lennox appeared in J. Cole's Change song and opened her own tour, the 4 Your Eyez Only Tour 2017. In 2018, she was able to appear on two of her songs along with label-mates EarthGang in Nothing but the Best and Bas on Icarus. On July 16, 2018, Ari Lennox released the first single, Whipped Cream of her album debut Shea Butter Baby with an accompanying music video which debuted on September 5. In November, the singer released the singles 40 Shades of Choke & Grampa. Then, on November 13, she released two additional singles called The No One or Pdigree. Shea Butter Baby was released with her debut single February 26, 2019, to accompany the album Creed II. Shea Butter Baby appeared together with Cole for The Creed II sound track on the 16th of November. A music video was released on the 20th of February to accompany the track. Within a matter of a week it had over 3,000,000 views. In December 2018 she performed on The From East Atlanta With Love Tour that featured 6LACK.
